ABACUS Angola Crustal Study
Trois and Bain Geo launch ABACUS,
Angola Basement and CrUstal Study
TROIS Geoconsulting, has partnered with Bain Geophysical Services, a worldwide expert in the integrated interpretation of gravity and magnetic data, to provide valuable interpretation products based on ANPG's airborne magnetic surveys. The study will be combined with public domain data sets over the entire offshore and coastal basins of Angola.
Regional Basement and Crustal Study will include:
- Gravity & Magnetic data merge and enhancements
- Gravity & Magnetic modeling along key geological cross sections
- Regional 3-D gravity inversion to derive depth to Moho, crustal thickness, limit of oceanic crust
- Depth to Magnetic/crystalline basement, Depth to Curie Isotherm (bottom of the magnetic crust), and Basement Terrane mapping from magnetic inversion.
Our team is currently accepting Early Participants into the study. To find out more about Early participant incentives, please contact:

ABACUS Angola Crustal Study
Gigante Regional Study
Gulf of Mexico Crustal Study, resulting in:
- Depth to basement and basement terrane
- Depth to Moho
- Crustal thickness
- Continent-ocean boundary
Based on TGS' GIGANTE Survey: Gravity + Magnetics + Seismic
TGS has teamed up with Bain Geophysical Services, a worldwide expert in the integrated interpretation of gravity and magnetic data, to provide high valued interpretation products based on the Gigante survey data, combined with public domain data sets over the entire Gulf of Mexico (GoM).
Gigante: Gulf of Mexico Regional Crustal Study
Offshore Eastern Canada
Newfoundland/Labrador/Nova Scotia Crustal Study, resulting in:
- Depth to basement and basement terrane
- Depth to Moho
- Crustal thickness
- Continent-ocean boundary
- Curie isotherm (bottom of the magnetic crust)
Building on the success of the joint project between TGS and BainGeo over the Gigante Mexico program, the team of TGS, PGS and BainGeo have created a Regional Crustal Study covering offshore Newfoundland, Labrador and Nova Scotia.
